A new video featuring the Baale of Ikorodu in Lagos State discussing the circumstances surrounding Mohbad's death has sparked various reactions.
In the recently circulated clip, the Baale of Ikorodu claimed that Mohbad had intended to bury him on the same day he passed away, at midnight, but he intervened to prevent it.
It is worth noting that Mohbad, who died under controversial circumstances at the age of 27 on September 12, 2023, was laid to rest on September 13, 2023, in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
The Baale of Ikorodu's revelation follows an earlier statement from the Coffin Maker, who stated that Mohbad's neck was bent in the casket because the singer's father and family rushed the burial, preventing him from taking proper measurements.
Many have criticized Mohbad's father for his decision to bury his son the day after his death, especially since Mohbad was not a Muslim. Some individuals have raised suspicions about the circumstances surrounding the singer's death and have implicated his father as a potential suspect who should be investigated.
In light of the disturbing revelations of harassment and assault that Mohbad endured while he was alive, there have been widespread calls for an autopsy to be conducted. The police are expected to exhume the body for this purpose on September 20th or, at the latest, on September 21st.
