Hundreds of young people marched peacefully through the streets of Abeokuta on Tuesday, demanding justice for the mysterious death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

Mohbad, a Marlian Records signee, tragically passed away on September 12th in Lagos at the age of 27.

Wearing black T-shirts, the youth began their demonstration in the Panseke area of Ogun's capital city, carrying placards with messages such as "Justice for Mohbad," "Government must arrest 'Naira Marley' and 'Sam Larry,'" among others.

The circumstances surrounding Mohbad's death have been the subject of controversy since the tragic incident.

Some of the protesters spoke to the media, emphasizing the importance of a police investigation into the singer's death and holding those responsible accountable.

Ayo Michael, one of the protesters, said, "We are in pain! Mohbad must not die in vain. We want the government to arrest anyone culpable."

Another mourner, visibly upset Mustura Abiola, lamented, "That boy had a promising future, but his life was cut short."

Boye Best, a colleague of the deceased singer, urged the government to conduct a thorough and transparent investigation to ensure that justice is served.

It's noteworthy that the Lagos State Police have already established a 13-man special investigation team to probe Mohbad's death. (NAN)
