The Lagos State Police Command has officially stated that Balogun Olamilekan Eletu, who is also known as Sam Larry, is currently in their custody. Sam Larry is under investigation in connection with the passing of Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely recognized as Mohbad.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, wrote on X: “Balogun Olamilekan Eletu aka Sam Larry is now in our custody.
“He is currently assisting with an ongoing investigation.”

This development follows Marlian Record label owner, Naira Marley's announcement that he is coordinating his return to Nigeria to comply with a police summons in light of the ongoing inquiry into Mohbad's demise.
Mohbad's passing on September 12, 2023, was shrouded in controversy. A viral video captured Sam Larry intruding on a music shoot and confronting Mohbad with armed individuals, adding to the intrigue surrounding the singer's death.
