Man Kills Two Nieces in Ogun State, Attributes Tragedy to the Devil

Taye Agbaje is a man who reportedly killed his younger brother’s two children inside a bush in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

According to our sources, a tragic incident unfolded on Saturday, August 5th. Reportedly, a man visited his sibling's residence in Kemta Abata, Abeokuta. He took both girls on his motorcycle and later committed a horrifying act, ending their lives with a cutlass.

The children's father, Idowu Agbaje, was away when the man took his daughters. Upon his return that evening, he began searching for them. Concerned community members informed him that they had spotted the girls on the man's motorcycle earlier in the day.

The Kemta Abata residents were deeply shocked by this incident, as the alleged perpetrator was not a member of their community. A community source, requesting anonymity, revealed that the suspect, Taye, is currently under police custody.

“When Taye was asked about the whereabouts of the girls, he denied knowing about it. Members of the community said they saw him conveying the girls, yet he said he only took them to the market.

“He was taken to Kemta police division, where he later confessed to have killed his nieces. Taye took the police to the bush where he slit his nieces throats and left the bodies..

“We all saw the bodies where he killed them. Police have evacuated the corpses to the mortuary. Taye did not give any particular reason for his action, he only said the mother of the kids had spiritually taken his glory for her husband. This is very shocking,” the source narrated.

The incident was verified by Omolola Odutola, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, who characterized it as unfathomable. Odutola conveyed that during police questioning, the suspect displayed a lack of remorse and consistently attributed the act to satanic influence.

“The suspect didn’t give any specific reason why he killed his brother’s children. There was no any sign of remorse. He’s just saying blaming satan, satan; and that does not exist in law,” Odutola said.

The police spokesperson promised to give further details about the incident soon.
