Thrilling news from popular Nigerian artist David Adeleke, known by his stage name Davido, has it that he etched his name in history on Tuesday night. He achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the inaugural African artist to grace the stage at the prestigious Professional Footballers’ Association Awards held in England.
The electrifying performance by the 'Unavailable' sensation unfolded as an interlude just before the grand unveiling of the night's most coveted awards at Manchester's esteemed Lowry Theatre.
Still basking in the glory of his groundbreaking accomplishment, Davido took to his Twitter account the following day to savor the memory of his historic performance.
He wrote, “Thank you @PFA for the opportunity to not only attend such a prestigious event but also perform. Music and sports have always gone great together and we proved that again last night! Next stop Dubai @cocacolaarena.”
It's worth noting that Davido had also captivated audiences with his performance at the FIFA World Cup closing ceremony in Qatar the previous year.
