Al Nassr has now qualified for the final of the Arab Clum Champions Cup for the first time after a span of thirty years, and it took the help of club captain Cristiano Ronaldo to achieve the feat. This will be the first time since moving to Saudi Arabia that will reach the final.

On Wednesday, Ronaldo led Al Nassr to a 1-0 win over Iraqi champions Al-Shorta SC in the semi-finals of the Arab Club Champions Cup. He scored the only goal in the match via a 75th-minute penalty kick after a VAR review revealed that Sadio Mane was fouled by Faisai Jasim Nafil Al Manaa.

Al Nassr led the possession of the game by 64% at Saudi Arabia's Prince Sultan bin Abdul Azizi Stadium and registered 15 shots on goal while their rival managed only six.

During the first half, Ronaldo would have given his side a goal lead but that goal was disallowed by the referee following a close offside call.

With this victory, Al Nassr are now set to confront their Saudi rivals Al-Hilal in the final on Saturday.
