Burna Boy says he is the best artist globally, feels undercredited

Burna Boy, the acclaimed Nigerian singer and Grammy award-winner, believes that he is not receiving the recognition he deserves, despite considering himself to be the best in the world.

During his time at the Afronation festival in Portugal, Burna Boy expressed his indifference towards not receiving enough credit. He acknowledged the support of his team, which includes industry experts such as Adesegun Adeosun Jnr, also known as Smade, a Nigerian-British show promoter, and Adesope, popularly known as Shopsydoo, a podcaster.

Drawing a parallel to Jesus, Burna Boy stated that he is not bothered by the lack of recognition, as even Jesus did not receive his due credit until after his death.

'African Giant' singer in a recent video which has gone viral, acknowledged the reality, that he is globally recognized as the best musician.

In the video, Smade was heard saying; “Burna, you keep blessing us mehn. No, you don’t get your credits enough bro. You’re the f*cking best in the world.”

Burna Boy reckoned: “No, I don’t [get enough credits]. Jesus also didn’t get his own credits till he died, so who am I? [Laughs]”
