Yoruba Heritage: Seyi Law spits fire on fans over tribal issues

Nigerian comedian, Seyi Law has become more of a bigot than a comedian. Since the 2023 Presidential Election, the comedian has been vocal about the Yoruba race calling Yorubas to support the candidacy of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a fellow Yoruba man. However, if Seyi continues like this, very soon only Yorubas bigots will invite him for shows or attend his shows. 

Recently he threw shades at some fans on his timeline. In a series of tweets, the comedian attacks some of his bases who aren’t from Yoruba, and he believes they know little or nothing about the Yoruba culture.

He posted a series of tweets on his timeline; he said; If you think defending my heritage, culture, traditions, and traditional institutions is hustling for my stomach, so be it. I would rather be a beggar amongst my people than denigrate it to live as a king amongst foreigners.

Seyi Law who had earlier engaged in a Twitter fracas with some of his fans had reacted by saying:

He further praises some notable Yoruba elders and their contributions while he continues to look forward to them he said;

“You’re doing well. Please clap for yourself. All your elders are now called names, and it gives you joy. Please celebrate your win. Omo ale to fowo osi juwe ile baba to bi lomo. From Abiola to Wole Soyinka, Pastor Adeboye, and Oonirisa. Ibi te ba ba de, a to yin ti”
