Osimhen makes history as he fires Napoli to Serie A title after 33 years [Video]

It was a historic night yesterday as our homeboy Victor Osimhen as he led his team, Napoli, to their Serie A title after 33 years. He was so influential in the game that after scoring the equalizer that decided the title, his name was sung throughout the stadium and even the home stadium away from the match venue.

Victor had his name on the score sheet as Napoli won their first Scudetto in 33 years following a 1-1 draw against Udinese on Thursday night.

Sandi Lovric gave Udinese the lead in the 13th minute.

Osimhen equalized for Napoli in the 52nd minute.

The 24-year-old is now the all-time African goal scorer in a single Serie A season.

He has also broken Samuel Eto’o record for the most goals scored by an African player in a single Serie A season with 22 goals.

Napoli last won the Serie A title in 1990.
