The Asake concert stampede left the third victim fighting for her life in the hospital as another woman died from injuries sustained from last week’s concert disaster in London.
Now, a 21-year-old third victim remains in the hospital fighting for her life. However, according to the police in the British capital, the second victim goes by the name Gabrielle Hutchinson. She was 23 years old and was a member of the security team for the event as a contractor. She was said to have died in the early hours of Monday.
Also confirming her death, Chief Superintendent Colin Wingrove, in charge of the investigation, in his condolences to Gabrielle’s family, described her death as “devastating news.”
It was reported that all three women were in the foyer of the building in south London when they were critically injured in the stampede.
Scotland Yard detectives have been scouring security camera and mobile phone footage to establish what caused the crush and to see if any crime was committed.
Recall that Asake had, in a public statement on Instagram, said he was “devastated” and “overwhelmed with grief” after the first death on Saturday.
The singer forcefully ended his sold-out performance at the O2 Academy Brixton on Thursday after many followers who did not have tickets attempted to force access to the venue.
