Murder: Amapiano producer, DJ Sumbody, shot dead in South Africa

Sunday was a sad day in South Africa as famous South African music producer and the creator of the viral Amapiano sound, DJ Sumbody, was shot dead.

Sunday World reported the unfortunate incident. According to their report, Sumbody was shot dead in Johannesburg while traveling on Woodmead road by unknown gunmen. The unknown assailants were said to have sprayed his vehicle with bullets, killing him and one of his bodyguards instantly.

A Sandton police officer revealed that a third person, believed to be DJ Sumbody’s second bodyguard, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after the shooting incident.

The police have declared the suspects wanted and are looking critically into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The DJ was set to perform at his Ayepyep fifth edition All White Vueve Picnic, which was supposed to hold on Sunday, November 20, 2022.
