Genevieve Nnaji, seen in public for the first time since May

Nollywood actress and movie producer Genevieve Nnaji, who has been missing in action in the public space, has finally showed up for the first time in a long while at the Creative Nexus Weekend in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.

She sparked concerns some days after her May birthday after deleting all her Instagram posts and unfollowed her colleagues on the platform. She had since been largely absent from the social media and Nollywood events scene.

She, however, showed up at the 2022 edition of the Creative Africa Nexus as one of the speakers at the events.

Also known as the CANEX Weekend, the programme runs from Friday, 25th November, and will end on the 26th of November on Sunday.

The event is a gathering of Africa’s brightest minds and aims to showcase the diversity of talents from across the continent and the diaspora.

Nigerian music star, Yemi Alade, is also scheduled to perform at the event as a headliner.
