U-23 AFCON Qualifiers: Nigeria trash Tanzania 2-0

On Saturday, the Nigeria’s U-23 football team, the Olympic Eagles, defeated the Young Taifa Stars of Tanzania 2-0 in the second leg of the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.

The first half of the game was a keenly contested as it ended goalless.

With the goalless in the first half, the Nigerian boys took over the game from the blast of the second half’s whistle. Oguniyi Omojesu put Nigeria in front with a free-kick while second goal came from Success Makanjuola who scored from a penalty kick awarded to the Olympic Eagles.
