Manchester Derby: Rio Ferdinand outcome of Man City vs Man United clash

Manchester Legend and Sports Pundit Rio Ferdinand has predicted the outcome of this weekend’s clash between Manchester City and Manchester United.

United travel will travel to the Etihad on Sunday to play against the “Noisy Neighbours”, and Ferdinand is hopeful his former club will pull up another impressive performance against their old foes under Erik ten Hag in this Sunday’s derby.

After losing their first two league games to Brentford and Brighton, Erik Ten Hag made significant changes to his side and placed the team responsibilities on summer signings Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, and Antony; the results have been instantaneous.

Manchester faced Liverpool, defeated them, did the same to Arsenal on their territory, and was amidst a four-game winning run in the Premier League before Queen Elizabeth’s death and the international break.

League Champions City, however, represents the acid and United’s newfound resolve will be severely tested by one of the most prolific forward lines in Europe, which now boasts the prolific Erling Haaland as its spearhead.

Speaking with Vibe with Five, Ferdinand said: “The Manchester derby, that’s going to be a big one. Do I fancy United to win it? I think score draw I’m going to go for. Maybe that’s my heart over my head, but I’m going to go for a score draw.

“I used to love playing in the derby. It was a tough game, but I used to love it, and after the internationals, I’m sure people will be chomping at the bit to get back in.”
