As the English Premier League enters game week 10 this weekend, all eyes will be on the screen to see real action. With all the scheduled matches, some of the fixtures would produce some surprises and real actions.
There are four fixtures slated for Saturday, while five encounters are for Sunday. However, there would be no Monday Night football.
Let’s look at some matches you should look forward to this weekend:
1. Aston Villa vs. Chelsea: Chelsea ran over Wolves last week at Stamford Bridge to get all three-point, beating them 3-0.
The Blues will be going into the match with the euphoria of the 2-0 win they got away in Italy against AC Milan in the Champions League during the week. However, playing away against Aston Villa will also be a different kettle of fish.
2. Tottenham vs. Everton: Tottenham lost the North London to Arsenal, drew 0-0 with Frankfurt in the Champions League, managed a narrow 1-0 win against Brighton, and returned to London in the Champions League with a 3-2 win over Frankfurt but a Premier League clash against Frank Lampard’s Everton will surely prove difficult nut to crack.
3. Man Utd vs. Newcastle: United has been criticized for their poor performance in recent times though they had been great with results in recent games. Erik ten Hag’s men managed to beat Everton 2-1 last weekend, with all the goals scored in the first half and Ronaldo scoring his first season league goal.
They followed that up with a hard-fought 1-0 win against Omonia Nicosia in the Europa League. The Red Devils obviously need to do better to stand a chance against Newcastle. Anything can happen in this game.
4. Liverpool vs. Man City: City has been banging in goals since the start of the season. City head into Sunday's fixture as the favourite but would look to extend their lead over 11th-placed Liverpool to 16 points by the end of the weekend.
With Haaland leading the line, it’s hard not to see City scoring at least one goal at Anfield.
In fact, it wouldn’t surprise anyone if the unstoppable Haaland added yet another Premier League match ball to his collection.
