Wizkid kept making waves and history everywhere he goes. He recently played as the Headline act at the Rolling Loud Event, making him the first African artist to play at the event.
Rolling Loud happens to be the largest hip-hop festival in the world. Every year, the event brings together a host of the genre’s biggest and most influential act.
Wizzy celebrated the historic night by thrilling the crowd with an electrifying selection of his timeless hits. His appearance made him the first African to serve as the headlining act at a Rolling Loud Festival.
The audience sang along when Wizkid gave his most recent rendition of Chris Brown’s “Call Me Everyday” its first-ever performance that same night. Wizkid was the festival’s third day’s headlining performer.
He also created history by becoming the first African musician to receive $1 million for the event.
2019 American musicians Future and Travis Scott each got $1 million for their performance.
