Following the Wednesday tweet of singer Buju BNXN saying he spat on a police officer during a confrontation, the Lagos State Police Command has said they will sanction the singer for it.
On Wednesday, Buju tweeted and later deleted same. The tweet reads, “I just spat in a police officer, and it felt so good” [sic].
However, the tweet did not go down well with the police as they reacted through the Command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin; he said the Command would sanction the police officers involved in the confrontation for their misbehavior.
He added that if Buju is found guilty, he will answer for assaulting an officer.
@BNXN proudly tweeted that he ‘spat in [sic] a police officer’s face and it felt so good.’ He has since deleted the tweet. The police officers will be sanctioned for their misbehavior if established, while @BNXN will surely answer for his assault on a police officer. pic.twitter.com/Ie20NJRqOv

“He has since deleted the tweet. The police officers will be sanctioned for their misbehavior if established, while Buju’ BNXN’ will surely answer for his assault on a police officer.”
