Nigeria's game against France has been suspended after 20 minutes due to heavy rainfall. The Nigerian girls kept their own and push the ball through the puddles on the field and looks good to score. After 20 minutes of action, the center referee had no choice but to call off the match.
It was a ding-dong affair and both sides still trying to find the net. However, the center reference after allowing the players to play through the harsh weather condition, she could not have it anymore at the stroke of 20 minutes, and she blew the match to a halt.
The balls seem not to be bouncing very well due to the water-logged pitch which makes playing very difficult. There were some slips and mistakes that could have led to some unfortunate goals. The commentators said the referee took the correct decision by suspending the play. They said the match is not much fun for anybody again.
