Actress Ireti Doyle and Bob-Manuel get Honourary Degrees

Popular Nollywood actress Ireti Doyle gets an honourary doctorate degree from Institut Superieur de Communication et de Gestion University in the Benin Republic.

She made this known on her Instagram page on Monday when she shared her photos wearing an academic gown and receiving the degree.

She is now one of many Nollywood stars with Doctorate Degree holders in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

Reacting to her new feat, the actress said, “I have envisaged many things for myself and having put, and still putting in the work, I have a healthy expectation of receiving ‘accolades.’ But at no point did I see this coming. Mommy would have been mighty proud! Dr. Doyle has a nice ring to it! #iscg_university I am highly honoured. Thank you!” 

In addition, the actress dropped another post where she shared pictures from the occasion with another Nollywood big wig, Bob-Manuel Obidimma Udokwu, the Special Adviser on Entertainment, Tourism, and Media of Anambra state.

She used the opportunity to congratulate him, saying, “Congratulations also to my senior colleague Dr. #bobmanueludokwuofficial. Incidentally, he mentioned that ‘Living In Bondage,’ the movie that redefined and birthed the Nollywood we now have; was 30 years old to the day. We’ve come a mighty long way!”
