Former Governor of Kano State, Ibrahim Shekarau, has dumped New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Shekarau announced that he had dumped the senatorial ticket of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and would be joining the PDP.
PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, received the former governor into PDP at his Mandubawa home .
Shekarau said that his action was predicated on restoring justice and fairness in Nigeria.
He, however, assured the party of his readiness to mobilize his supporters across the nation to guarantee Atiku’s victory come the 2023 presidential elections.
