Shock As Veteran Broadcaster, Abiodun Oropo Dies

The death of Abiodun Oropo, a Radio host and founder of Abiodun Oropo Radio TV, has been announced. The ace Yoruba radio/television presenter popularly known as “Oyinmomo joojo” died after a sudden and brief illness.

According to his close friends, the veteran died Saturday evening. They said he became sick two days ago and was hurriedly taken to the hospital for treatments. Unfortunately, he did not survive it; he died on Saturday evening.

Before his death, Abiodun Oropo worked with FaajiFM, Dux FM, and many other stations across the South West of the country.

The late broadcaster was an active and strong member of the Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN).

He is slated to be buried on Sunday according to Muslim rite in his residence in Orile Agege.

He was aged 79.
