News Alert: Adeleke glides to victory, wins 17 LGS

Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party scored the highest votes from 17 of the 30 local governments in Osun State. In comparison, his closest rival could only conquer 13 local governments.

The Independent National Electoral Commission officials officially declared the result of the Saturday governorship election in Osun State.

His closest rival, Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the APC, won in only 13 Local Government Areas.

The results are as follows:

Adeleke - 403, 371 votes from 30 LGAs

Oyetola - 375, 027 votes from 13 LGAs

The PDP won the following LGAs:

• Ede North Local Government
• Ede South
• Ifelodun
• Boluwaduro
• Egbedore
• Odo Otin
• Osogbo
• Ila
• Atakumosa West
• Olorunda
• Ilesa West
• Obokun
• Oriade
• Orolu
• Ife North
• Irepodun

• Boripe
• Ilesa East
• Ayedire
• Ifedayo
• Ife Central
• Ayedaade
