Seven hostages abducted by terrorists from the ill-fated AK-9 Abuja-Kaduna train have been released.
Our source said the seven victims released on Saturday have reunited with their family members. The release came after more than 100 days in captivity.
Earlier the terrorists released 11 three weeks ago from the 61 victims leaving 50 victims in the custody of the terrorists. Recall that one of the hostages was shot, and with the release of seven, the remaining captives with the terrorist now stand at 43.
One of the negotiators and Media Consultants to controversial Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, made the revelation on Saturday and added that the released hostages reunited with their families late Saturday evening.
The names of the seven hostages are Bosede Olurotimi, Abubakar Zubairu, Alhassan Sule and Sadiq Ango Abdullahi, Muhammad Daiyabu Paki, Aliyu Usman, and the only foreign national of Pakistani origin, Dr. Muhammad Abuzar Afzal.
