According to emerging reports today 5th of June, suspected terrorists has been reported to have attacked St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, the headquarters of Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The report across various media platforms has it that the terrorist entered the church and opened fire at worshipers , killing several of them.
The incident occurred according to reports, less than 200 meters away from the Olowo of Owo Palace.
The Ondo State Police Command spokesperson Funmilayo Odulami however confirmed the development to Channels television, but disclosed that details of the incident would be given later.
The image maker also said all security apparatus has been dispatched to the area to restore calmness.
Ondo State Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, has condemned the heinous act. The Governor made this known via his Twitter handle:
