See Apple Devices That Have Been Discontinued and Discounted Following iPhone 13 Arrival

The latest iPhones, namely the iPhone 13 series, are here. The devices were announced alongside a bunch of other products, including new entry-level iPads, the modernized iPad Mini and Apple Watch Series 7.

The development means that the new devices will be in people’s hands in the next couple of weeks or less, which is typical of Apple because it ensures all customers are covered as soon as new handhelds are announced.

In the same breath, it means that some devices will be discontinued because it is only natural. Those that are lucky are often discounted, and that is exactly what has happened.

So, here is a reminder of the devices that have remained or been discontinued, and how much they are costing.

Gone are the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max. Gone, meaning they cannot be accessed from Apple.com. However, there are many retailers across the world, and even locally, that have sufficient inventory to meet the demand of customers that may want them.

To note, the Pro line of iPhones is premium, meaning it makes the company a lot of money. And at a time when the majority of customers are keeping their phones for a long time, and others are starting to see that the 13 series is iterative, it makes sense that the 12 Pros have to go to sway customers to buy the 13 Pro or 13 Pro Max.

The iPhone XR from a couple of years ago is also gone for Apple Store,

However, the normal iPhone 12 and 12 Mini are here still and have received a $100 price cut, so they start at $699 and $599 respectively.

If you want to go even cheaper, the iPhone 11 from two years ago is here, and now starts from $499. It is just $100 expensive than the iPhone SE 2020, which is still around.

We have mentioned that the 2021 iPad Mini is a redesign from the 2019 model, meaning that you wouldn’t find the latter in Apple Stores. It starts from $499.

To note, the new entry-level iPad maintains the classic iPad look with TouchID. It is on its 9th iteration and starts at an impressive $329 with double the storage at 64 GB.

Lastly, the Apple Watch Series 7 will be launched at a later date. When that happens, Series 6 will be eliminated. However, Series 3 and SE are here, at least for the next year. Cost-wise, Series 3 costs $199 for the 38mm version and $229 for the 42 mm model. The SE starts from $279.
