Edo State Governorship Election 2020: Incumbent Governor Godwin Obaseki wins

 

Governor, Godwin Obaseki who is the sitting Governor of Edo State, under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won the Edo State Guber election, held yesterday, the 19th of September, 2020.

According to all the collation of the election results, the PDP candidate defeated his closest rival, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress with a total of 307,857, while Ize-Iyamu pooled a total of 223,622.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has officially declared Godwin Obaseki winner of the race.

The results collated in 18 LGAs early Sunday, show that PDP won in 15 of the 18 LGAs.
