Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Nigeria's immediate past President, who is the head of the peace team to Mali, met today with the Nigerian community in that country.
In a tweet shared by the former President, the peace loving Jonathan who is in Bamako in continuation of his assignment as the West African head of peace reconciliation team, found it imperative to visit Nigerian community.
He said in the tweet:
"I took time off our @ecowas_cedeao mediation efforts in Mali to visit with the Nigerian community in Bamako. I was impressed by their sense of solidarity & patriotism. I charged them to be of good conduct in order to project a good image for our nation".

Earlier in the year, the ECOMAS and CEDEAO set up a peace mediation team to reconcile aggrieved parties in Mali over political disagreements and Dr Goodluck Jonathan was made the head.
