 Hon. Lawal Rabiu of PDP declared winner by Court of Appeal,  Lere APC sacked.

The Appeal Court sitting in Kaduna has sacked Engr. Suleiman Aliyu Lere of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, for Lere Constituency, Federal House of Representatives, while Hon. Lawal Muhammad Rabiu of the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has been declared the winner.

DSS faults allegation of frustrating Sowore's bail granted by court

The Department of State Services (DSS) has faulted the reports and insinuations making rounds in the media, that  it is frustrating the bid by Omoyele Sowore, convener of the #RevolutionNow movement, to secure freedom having been granted bail by a court.

According to a report by Channels Television, Peter Afunaya, the spokesperson of DSS, said the agency was not officially aware that Sowore had met his bail conditions.

A Judge of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu had granted bail to Sowore and a co-accused on Wednesday, November 6.

Mr Femi Falana, who is Sowore's counsel, also said that the latter had met all his bail condition as stipulated by the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Falana, disclosed this on Wednesday, November 6, at the Federal High Court. He also went ahead to declare that the defendants would be freed later on that day.

Falana reportedly accused the DSS of making deliberate attempts to frustrate Sowore's freedom.
