A group, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Elders Forum has expressed deep worry over the conduct of former President Goodluck Jonathan in the November 16 Bayelsa governorship election.

David Lyon of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared winner of the election which the PDP had insisted was rigged in favour APC backed by the Federal Government.

The PDP Elders Forum in a statement issued by its Chairman Chief Benson Odoko in Yenagoa criticized the former president for openly fraternizing with the APC, the party’s main opponent in the election, noting that the former president, by his recent actions, did not leave anybody in doubt that he was supporting the APC against the very party that made him Deputy Governor, Governor, Vice President and President of the country......READ MORE>>>

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member has lost another key member, Hon. Karimi Sunday Steve, a former member of the House of Representatives who represented the Yagba federal constituency.

According to The Nation, Steve withdrew his membership from the PDP but has not indicated the next party he will be joining.

Kogi West: PDP reveals what INEC has been instructed to do to Dino Melaye

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has claimed that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies, have been instructed to stop Senator Dino Melaye from returning to the Senate.

Melaye had defeated his All Progressives Congress (APC) riva, Smart Adeyemi, in the February election. But the tribunal and appellate court annulled the election and ordered a fresh one.

In the fresh election conducted on November 16, Melaye was trailing Adeyemi, before the exercise was declared inconclusive.

A supplementary poll was fixed for November 30.
