APC Chieftain asks Court to change Constitution to allow Buhari run for Third Term, As Islamic group sends message to Senators, Reps

Charles Enya, a member of the All Progressives Congress in Ebonyi State, has filed a suit seeking the amendment of the constitution to allow President Muhammadu Buhari and state governors seek third term in office.

He said the two-term limit for the Presidents and governors was limiting and discriminatory.

Enya, who served as organising secretary to Buhari during the 2019 general election, filed the suit (FHC/AI/CS/90/19) before a Federal High Court in Abakiliki, the state capital.

Islamic group sends message to Senators, Reps Over Buhari

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has urged the 9th National Assembly (NASS) to support President Muhammadu Buhari in his efforts to put Nigeria back on the right track.

MURIC in a statement by its Director, Professor Ishaq Akintola, urged the NASS to distance itself from the parliamentary rascality.

It said: “The ninth National Assembly must come to the nation’s rescue. It is therefore not just about President Muhammadu Buhari. It is about Nigeria.
