A video currently circulating on social media has AAC presidential candidate in the 2019 presidential election and RevolutionNow convener, Omoyele Sowore and Big Brother Naija star, Khafi having a discussion on revolution.
The recording which appears to have held sometime last year just before Nigeria’s 2019 general elections is currently generating reactions on social media.
In the video, Khaffy and Sowore are seen taking a walk along Greenwich Wharf in London and talking about revolution and change.
Part of his opening statement reads, ”Kaffy and I are taking a walk, and we just want to talk a little bit of politics even though I know you are not much of a political person but… you want to talk to our people in Nigeria and also to all these our stars who are not taking any position, they are trying to pretend as if they do not know that things are not okay in Nigeria.
”Guess who I saw today” to which Kaffy asked who and he continued ”he has a video where he had a meltdown, he is upset about what happened to him I think on Ethiopian airlines, something about they cheating him and he is cursing the governors of Lagos, cursing all the people who built the airport but I’m looking at him and saying you don’t even need to throw tantrums when you have an opportunity to change the government next year and you have the Nigeria of your dream right there.
”But you can’t pretend like you don’t have a position and then you are back as the ambassador of everything that is ripping off Nigeria but you are not an ambassador of change, not the APC kind of change anyway but revolutionary change. So it’s interesting.
In response, Kaffy partly said ”You know stars too actually have this thing like every other Nigerian, I don’t want to cause any trouble, I just want to live my life in peace, I don’t want to get involved in politics and I hear that line so much. I don’t want to get involved, I don’t want to get involved, but you eating and breathing, you are already involved in politics. The air you are breathing is influenced by politics, how much pollution and so many things are influenced by politics.
