UPDATE: Ganduje, Emir Sanusi Feud Not Over

Fresh reports are emerging concerning the Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammad Sanusi ll, feud, revealing that the two have not reconciled.

Alhaji Abba Anwar, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, said even though a reconciliation meeting was held in Abuja on Friday, June 7, the matter has not been resolved, Daily Trust reports.

The Governor's Chief Press Secretary said, “Certainly, a reconciliation meeting was organised by Governor Fayemi and Alhaji Aliko Dangote and the governor and emir attended the meeting, the governor has not given his stand on the matter.

“What I can confirm to you is that the dialogue is still on, therefore, we should wait for the response of the governor.”

He added that the meeting was attended by many district heads and other traditional rulers.

NollywoodTimes.com had earlier reported that Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State and the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi ll has reconciled following a reconciliatory meeting brokered by President Buhari, between the two in Abuja.

DailyNigerian also reported that President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier on Friday mediated in the matter, between Sanusi and Ganduje.

President Buhari reportedly intervened following calls by northern elders as the estrangement between the governor and the emir is generating tension in the state.
