What is Apple Arcade and how does it work?

Apple recently announced a slew of new subscription services. Among these was a new service called Apple Arcade, an all-access gaming subscription service.

Through a monthly subscription, you’ll have unlimited access to a curated selection of paid games on the App Store. Additionally, you’ll get full access to all updates and DLC content on the games of your choice.


The service isn’t limited to mobile games, though. Apple Arcade is designed to also be available on desktop and the living room. Apple Arcade will have its own tab on the App Store and games will be playable offline.

Some of the developers who have partnered with Apple on this new endeavour include big gaming industry names like Sega, Konami, Disney, Sumo Digital, and Cartoon Network.

The service will kick off with more than 100 exclusive games, constantly being updated with new additions. Some of these titles include:

• Kings of the Castle

• Where Cards Fall

The service will initially only be available in 150 countries and there are no further details on pricing just yet, but Apple promises more information on this in the coming months.
