Kano Elections: Channels TV Under Serious Criticism For Disinformation On Arrest Of Kano Deputy Governor

Channels TV under attach for 'disinformation' over a report, that the Deputy Governor of Kano State, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna & Murtala Sule Garo has been arrested by the boys of CP Wakili (Singham).

Recall that, the Kano state deputy Governor, Nasiru Gawuna and the State Commissioner for Local Government, Alhaji Sule Garo were arrested for attempt to disrupt governorship elections collation of results.

The Police in Kano took them into custody over alleged threat to public peace.

Channels, while reporting the incident, claimed the Deputy Governor was attacked by thugs.

KANO Deputy Governor and a Commissioner arrested for destroying ballot papers/ result sheets. . INEC has suspended the collation of results in Kano. The REC Prof. Riskuwa Arab-Shehu announced this after the collation of results from 43 out of the 44 LGA’s of the state. The INEC Commissioner said the suspension was necessary because of reports of the security challenges from the only LG left to be announced in the governorship elections results.
