Over 30 passengers were injured and bleeding from their noses and ears after their Jet Airways plane from Mumbai to Jaipur lost cabin pressure and had to turn back, aviation authorities have confirmed.
According to the report, the passengers were injured when shortly after takeoff, and the flight crew forgot to select a switch to maintain cabin pressure and oxygen masks were eventually deployed.
Passengers on flight 9W697 took videos of the midair disaster and shared it on social media, which show oxygen masks deployed inside the plane.
The report further stated that, five passengers were taken to hospital and doctors have said that some of them have barotrauma, which is bleeding of the nose and ear and most of them have temporary mild deafness.

According to media reports several passengers suffered nose bleed and headaches when the cabin crew forgot to pressurise cabin during take-off.
