Senator Etang Umoyo Edet, from Akwa-Ibom, a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has formally dumped the party for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
He announced his defection on Tuesday during an event held at the Esit Eket Council Secretariat.
Umoyo addressing the massive crowd said, “I am not given to dancing around the truth. At a time the Governor (Udom Emmanuel) is seeking a re-election, a right which is consistent with tradition and constitutional provisions, a spanner is thrown into the works by the person who cleared the way for the emergence of the current custodian of our trust and mandate.
