Bauchi Bye-election, Dogara Commends INEC

Hon. Yakubu Dogara, the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives,  has praised the performance of Independent National Electoral Commission for conducting a peaceful Senatorial bye-election on Saturday in Bauchi.

The Speaker said, the peaceful election was an indication that INEC was capable of conducting the 2019 election.

Speaking exclusively with DAILY POST, Dogara in his village, Gwarangah, Bogoro LGA Bauchi State said;

“I am impressed by the arrangement put in place by INEC because as at now, there is no news of violence or irregularities throughout the bye-election in almost all the seven LGAs in the state,”.

Dogara admitted that initially, there was perceived poor turn out of voters, but however attributed it to the farming season and expressed satisfaction with the voting pattern.
