Senator Dino Melaye Arrives Lokoja In An Ambulance With Police Escort; Set To Be Arraigned
The embattled Senator Dino Melaye is set to be arraigned in a Lokoja Magistrate Court this Morning. The Senator was brought in an Ambulance around 7:00am and was driven straight to the police A Division.
Yesterday a Wuse Zone 2 Chief Magistrate Court in Abuja granted him bail of N90 million. Mr Melaye was arraigned by the police yesterday on allegations that he escaped from lawful custody.
The Senator was immediately rearrested by the police and taken to Force Headquarters in Abuja, according to his aides who informed reporters about the development
It could be recalled that Mr Melaye was at the hospital between last week Tuesday following reports that he jumped off a moving police vehicle until Wednesday afternoon when he was quietly arraigned by the police.
Meanwhile his aides are worried over the fragile state of the Senator's health as he is being arraigned in court.
