Fish Caught At Jigawa Fishing Festival 2018; Weigh 48.1Kg

The annual fishing festival in Jigawa State was carried out yesterday at Kalgwai village in Auyo local government area. Participants from the fishing festival reported that a fish that weighed 48.1kg was caught in this year's festival.

The Jigawa State Government awarded a new motorcycle and cash of one hundred thousand naira to one Saleh Dan Gaduwa who came first at the annual event.

The festival attracted thousands of people from different parts of Jigawa State and the rest part of the country.
Cultural events such as fishing, sink, swimming, rope-pulling among others were the highlights of activities performed at the festival.
