UN Begins Evacuation Of Aid Workers Over Recent Deadly Attack By Boko Haram 

The United Nations  on Friday began the evacuation of it's aid workers from Rann community in the Kala-Balge Local Government Area of Borno State,over the recent killing of three of it's aids workers by the terrorist group, Boko Haram.



Information about the attack reveals that the Boko Haram insurgents attacked the Rann Internally Displaced Persons camp late on Thursday, and three of the UN workers were killed.


According to a report, two of the killed workers were with UN agency; International Organisation for Migration, while the third victim was a medical doctor, working with the UN Children’s Fund. The insurgents also reportedly abducted a female UN nurse in the attack. 

Report has it also that apart from the officials, a yet-to-be-ascertained number of civilians in the camp were killed while many others were injured during the attack. It was similarly reported that the Boko Haram terrorists group abducted three aid workers and civilians apart from the UN nurse.

Among the abducted workers are two; reportedly working with the International Committee of the Red Cross – another major international relief agency helping out in the North-East.
