Fulani Herdsmen Arrested In Benue For For Violating Open Grazing Law

The issue of clash between Fulani herdsmen and farmers in Benue and the passing of open grazing law by the Bebue State Government is no longer news.

Following series of meetings between the Otukpo Local government Chairman, Hon. George Alli and the Fulani community in Otukpo over the law prohibiting open grazing as enacted into law and subsequent implementation from November 2017, some non challant Fulani herdsmen were seen openly grazing their cattle in Otukpo.

The Otukpo Council Chairman, personally witnessed the gross violation of the Anti-Open Grazing Law, immediately directed the arrest of the culprits, and directed immediate investigation into the matter.
