Pero Osaiyemi, one of Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has attracted positive reactions on social media after publicly promoting the musician’s forthcoming concert in Lagos.
Pero shared a video featuring 2Baba and their daughter, Ehi Idibia, to announce the singer’s scheduled performance at Lasolas Nightclub on November 13.
In the accompanying caption, she reflected on how life unfolds in unexpected ways, noting that time passes, circumstances change and people eventually find their place.
She added that some experiences do not require explanations, while certain moments are simply worth celebrating with a smile.
She wrote, “Life has a beautiful way of reminding us that some kinds are simply beyond what we could ever imagine. Time passes, seasons change, and life takes us down paths we never saw coming, yet everything finds its place. Some stories don’t need explaining. Some moments deserve a smile. And on that note. The legendary 2baba will be live at Lasolas Nightclub on November 13th”.
Her post generated positive comments, with several social media users applauding her for supporting the singer and expressing happiness over what appeared to be a cordial relationship between the former couple.
One user, dominion56254, expressed a wish that they would reunite, writing, “I wish you guys could be together again. Perfect match, I swear”.
Another commenter, wisdom.8227, described Pero as “the African Queen”, while larrittshoes also praised her with the same expression.
A user identified as zeestitches_by_abimbola wrote, “Sweetest thing I have seen on the internet today. Bless your heart”.
Another commenter, ayindeadebis, described her as a good woman with a heart of gold, while itz_jayceemiller applauded 2Baba for taking responsibility for his children.
Other users also welcomed the gesture, with some encouraging Pero to continue supporting the singer.
Pero’s Previous Gestures Towards 2Baba
The latest show of support comes months after Pero acknowledged 2Baba’s 51st birthday in September by liking his social media post marking the occasion.
Although the former couple have experienced relationship challenges and eventually separated, their recent interactions have drawn attention to the seemingly amicable relationship they maintain.
Their previous public gestures have also suggested that they continue to share a cordial connection, particularly regarding their children.
On an earlier occasion, 2Baba appreciated Pero for her commitment to their children while celebrating Innocent Jr.’s birthday. The singer acknowledged her efforts and thanked her for consistently coming through for the children.
In 2022, the musician also arranged a special outing for Pero and her children, securing them VIP invitations to Burna Boy’s concert.
The event gave Pero and the children an opportunity to enjoy the performance with VIP treatment. She subsequently shared moments from the experience on social media, recounting their outing and appreciating 2Baba for making it possible.
The gesture attracted attention because it showed the singer making arrangements for the mother of his children and their family to enjoy the concert.
2Baba’s Birthday Message to Pero
The singer has also publicly acknowledged Pero on a previous occasion.
In 2022, 2Baba surprised her with a birthday message, offering prayerful wishes as she marked another year.
Pero appreciated the gesture by reposting his message on her social media page. However, she did not attach a caption, reportedly to avoid attracting backlash or creating unnecessary controversy.
The latest concert promotion has therefore added to the history of public interactions between the former partners.
While neither the concert announcement nor their previous gestures necessarily indicate a romantic reunion, social media users have continued to commend their apparent ability to maintain a positive relationship.
Pero’s decision to promote 2Baba’s upcoming performance, particularly with a video featuring their daughter, has been widely received as a gesture of support.
