Nigerian singer Speed Darlington has fired back at his former manager, Goskey, following allegations that he received only ₦250,000 from a reported ₦30 million payment connected to the singer’s boxing match against Carter Efe.

Goskey announced the end of their four-year working relationship, claiming that the money he received did not reflect his contributions to the singer’s career. He said he helped connect Speed Darlington with clients and influential people and also spent his own money supporting the entertainer.

Speaking about the payment, Goskey said:

“250,000, 0.75% out of 30 million. Not even one per cent. Not even one million.”

He also alleged that Speed Darlington had previously promised him six per cent from every job but later disputed the arrangement because they had no formal contract.

Goskey expressed frustration over how he believed he had been treated despite working with the singer for years.

“Even if I don’t have a contract with you, does it mean that you keep me like trash?” he asked.

Announcing his departure, he made it clear that he no longer wanted to be involved in the singer’s professional affairs.

“I’m no longer with Speedy. Nobody should call me, nobody should involve me or text me about booking him or whatever it is,” Goskey said.

He also declared that he would not return to working with the singer.

“I’m not with Speedy, and I’ll never be with him anymore,” he said.

Speed Darlington has now responded to the allegations, directing insults at his former manager and questioning his suitability for the role.

“You’re useless, if not a fr.aud. I’m sure you can’t afford to buy a car.

You used your own hand to make yourself my manager.

I don’t need a manager because I don’t want anybody to eat my money. What I need is a house help.”

The singer’s response suggests that he is unhappy with Goskey’s decision to leave and the allegations surrounding the payment.

While Goskey maintains that he deserved better compensation for his work, Speed Darlington has made it clear that he does not believe he needs a manager.

The disagreement has brought their four-year working relationship to an end, with both sides presenting different accounts of the situation. The payment claims and details of their alleged commission arrangement have not been independently verified.
