Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has appealed for urgent help in getting her two children back, saying she is deeply worried about what they may be going through while in the care of their father and his wife.
The actress explained that her former husband has been in custody of their two children for a considerable period. According to her, he had argued that she was not in a position to properly take care of them, which eventually led to the children living with him and his wife.
Bakare said that over time, her children had allegedly complained to her about the treatment they received in the home, including alleged abuse involving their stepmother and her children.
She admitted that although the reports concerned her, she did not act as strongly as she could have at the time because she believed their father would not allow her to take the children.
However, she said the situation became much more serious during her recent trip outside the country.
According to the actress, she received a call from one of her sons while she was away. During the call, she claimed she overheard the child's stepmother allegedly giving instructions to one of her sons about strangling the child.
Bakare said she has a voice recording of what she described as evidence of the incident and wants the matter addressed because her immediate concern is the safety of her children.
She is now calling for assistance to regain custody of both children.

"Nigerians help me rescue my children from my babies father and his wife before they kpai them
"My Ex husband took custody of my two children, he said l don't have capacity to take care of them and they have been living with him and his wife for a long time.
"My children always informè me how their step mother and her children normally abuse them but l just ignore because their father wouldn't allow me have them.
"Last week that l travelled out of the country and l just received a call from one of my son and l ovrrerheard their step mother instructing one of her own son on how to st.r@ngle my child.
"I have the evidence of her voice recording with me, all l want now is my children, l want to have custody of my two children, pls help me".
