Fresh from a record-breaking theatrical premiere at Tafawa Balewa Square, which reportedly attracted more than 51,000 people, Black Market has emerged as one of Nollywood's most talked-about releases.
Directed by Fatimah Binta Gimsay and produced by Nora Awolowo, the crime thriller features Omowunmi Dada, Lateef Adedimeji and Itele D Icon.
The story centres on five market women who become involved in a dangerous cross-border smuggling operation as they struggle with economic hardship and fuel scarcity. Their situation becomes even more desperate when one of their daughters is kidnapped.
2. Agbara Nla: The Return
Mount Zion Film Productions returns with Agbara Nla: The Return, a faith-based movie centred on spiritual warfare, redemption and divine intervention.
The film, from the ministry founded by Mike Bamiloye, has attracted strong reactions from audiences, particularly among Christian viewers. Its emotional storyline and spiritual themes make it a notable addition to the current Nollywood lineup.
3. Oversabi Aunty
Toyin Abraham takes on the role of director in Oversabi Aunty, a comedy that explores the consequences of interfering in other people's affairs.
