Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has stirred fresh controversy after speaking out about her ongoing legal dispute with Pastor Chris Okafor, alleging that some individuals are working behind the scenes to ensure that she ends up in prison.

The actress reportedly expressed fears about the direction of the case, claiming that her arrest and possible detention could be part of a wider effort involving people she believes are acting against her. She also warned that those she mentioned should be held responsible if anything happens to her while in custody.

Ogala's latest claims have brought renewed attention to the legal dispute between her and the cleric. In recounting the history of the matter, the actress alleged that the case had passed through several legal and investigative channels over time.

According to her account, the dispute was initially handled by the Zone 2 Police Command. She claimed that during the investigation, there were alleged attempts to influence the process financially. However, Ogala maintained that the then Assistant Inspector-General of Police refused to be influenced and insisted that the matter should be properly investigated.

The actress also made allegations concerning the reported death of an individual who allegedly fell during construction work at Okafor's church. She claimed that the person's body was later discovered beneath the church altar. These claims formed part of her account of the controversy surrounding the cleric and their ongoing dispute.

Ogala further alleged that Okafor had taken legal action against her and the police in an attempt to prevent his arrest and stop the church altar from being opened. She claimed that the case was eventually struck out.

Recounting subsequent developments, the actress said Okafor later pursued cases against her in three different courts, including one in Abuja and two in Lagos. According to her, the case filed in Abuja was also struck out.

She went on to allege that the matter was subsequently taken to the Ministry of Justice without her being given an opportunity to present her side of the story. She also claimed that a police investigation had not been completed before further legal steps were taken.

Ogala said the Director of Public Prosecutions later filed a case against her on behalf of the government, with cyberbullying among the issues involved in the proceedings. The actress expressed concern that the case could result in her imprisonment.

In another striking aspect of her statement, Ogala mentioned Apostle Johnson Suleman, Tonto Dikeh, Pastor Jerry Eze and Stella Dimoko Korkus, alleging that they were among those working with Okafor against her.

Her statement ended with a warning that the people she named should be held accountable if she were imprisoned and anything happened to her.

The controversy between Nollywood actress Doris Ogala and Pastor Chris Okafor reportedly stems from an alleged romantic relationship that Ogala claimed began in 2017. The actress alleged that they were involved for years and that Okafor had promised to marry her.

Their dispute gained widespread public attention in December 2025, following the pastor’s marriage to another woman, prompting Ogala to accuse him of betraying her trust and seek ₦1 billion in damages through her lawyers. Okafor’s representatives disputed aspects of her claims, and the disagreement has since escalated into a public and legal dispute.
