Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has announced the reported release of controversial relationship influencer Blessing CEO from detention, sharing a video call with the social media personality that has sparked reactions online.

Ogala celebrated the development in an Instagram post on Saturday, October 24, 2026, writing: “Blessing ceo is finally out thank you Jesus... Awwwww ajjeeeyyyy.”

The video showed Blessing CEO speaking with the actress, prompting renewed public interest in the circumstances surrounding her months-long detention at Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos.

However, her release had not been officially confirmed by court or prison authorities at the time of reporting.

Blessing CEO, whose real name is Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, had been in custody since June 2026 after facing three separate criminal cases instituted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

One of the major cases against the influencer involves an alleged ₦69.15 million property transaction involving Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited.

The EFCC arraigned her before the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja on June 9, 2026, on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing.

According to the commission, Blessing CEO allegedly collected ₦69.15 million after representing herself as the owner of a property at No. 1 Tunbosun Osobu Street, Lekki, Lagos, which she allegedly offered to lease to the company for five years.

The prosecution alleged that the transaction occurred in March 2025 and that the money was obtained through a representation the defendant knew to be false.

Blessing CEO pleaded not guilty to the charges, and the allegations remain subject to determination by the court.

On July 23, 2026, Justice Rahman Oshodi of the Lagos State Special Offences Court granted Blessing CEO bail in the sum of ₦20 million in the alleged ₦69.15 million fraud case.

The conditions included two sureties in like sum, with each required to provide a three-year bank statement or evidence of a fixed deposit worth at least ₦20 million. The court also directed that the defendant and her sureties undergo verification through the judiciary’s bail information system.

Despite the bail ruling, she did not immediately regain her freedom.

The grant of bail was not the same as completing the conditions required for release. Reports subsequently indicated that complications involving the qualification and verification of sureties contributed to the delay.

The ₦69.15 million allegation was not the only legal challenge confronting Blessing CEO.

She was also facing a separate alleged ₦36 million property-related fraud case. In that matter, a Federal High Court in Lagos granted her ₦10 million bail, subject to conditions imposed by the court.

A third case followed in June, when the EFCC arraigned her before the Federal High Court in Ikoyi over an alleged ₦13 million fraud connected to donations collected during a cancer fundraising campaign.

The commission alleged that donations were obtained after she claimed to have stage-four breast cancer and that a medical document presented in support of the fundraising was falsified. Blessing CEO pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The existence of separate proceedings meant that securing bail in one case did not automatically guarantee her release from custody.

In October, comedian Princewill, who visited her at Kirikiri, said her lawyers had encountered difficulties completing the bail process, including issues with sureties. He also claimed that the ₦36 million involved in one of the disputes had been refunded, although that assertion does not resolve the separate allegations before the courts.

Blessing CEO had previously addressed her legal troubles in a post attributed to her account, describing the property-related matters as tenancy disputes and insisting that she had not sold another person’s house.

She also maintained that she had pleaded not guilty to all the charges and remained optimistic about the outcome.
