Nollywood actor Baba Ijesha has appealed to his supporters for help as he prepares to celebrate his birthday this month, pointing to the financial demands of raising his young son.
In a personal message, the actor spoke about the cost of caring for an infant, explaining that buying baby food has become one of the expenses putting pressure on his family. He noted that a tin costs ₦1,800 and joked about his son's appetite, adding a touch of humour to his account of the family's situation.
Baba Ijesha also mentioned the difficulty his wife faces when he cannot get the baby's food on time. His message centred on the everyday responsibilities of providing for a young child while trying to meet other household needs.
As part of his birthday plans, the actor announced the release of his new movie, ASIRI Gomina Kan, which he described using the phrase "Baba Ijesa Vibes!" He presented the film as a special gift to himself and his family and asked his supporters to visit his channel and show their support.
He also referred to Chief Sunday Igboho in his appeal, saying he was joining him in asking people to offer their support.
Rather than focusing solely on his birthday celebration, Baba Ijesha's message drew attention to the financial responsibilities that come with raising a child. His appeal was directed at people who have followed his work and may be willing to support his latest project.
The actor's complete message reads:
"Hello, my wonderful people
"I am reaching out to you all because I genuinely need your support. As many of you know, I am a family man with a young baby, and taking care of a child these days is not easy. Infant food is becoming increasingly expensive, and my son has a very healthy appetite! 😂 One tin costs ₦1,800, and you can imagine the stress my wife goes through whenever I am unable to get it on time.
