"Your Hypocrisy Disgusts Me” — Solomon Buchi Fires At Daddy Freeze

A fresh disagreement has emerged between commentator Solomon Buchi and media personality Daddy Freeze, with Buchi taking strong exception to Freeze’s relationship with UK-based clergyman Pastor Tobi Adegboyega.

The issue centres on Daddy Freeze’s continued friendship with Pastor Tobi, a relationship that has remained visible over the years. Freeze has supported the clergyman on different occasions, even when questions and controversies have surrounded Adegboyega.

For Buchi, that association raises questions about consistency, particularly when Daddy Freeze has also been outspoken about the conduct of religious figures.

In a video, Buchi did not hold back as he addressed Freeze directly. He accused the media personality of repeatedly associating with people who have faced serious controversy and questioned his position when discussing pastors and their conduct.

Buchi also referred to Freeze’s previous association with Ramon Abbas, better known as Hushpuppi. He recalled an occasion when Freeze was pictured at Hushpuppi’s residence and used that moment as part of his argument against what he described as inconsistency.

“Daddy Freeze, I just want to tell you that you’re a disgusting old man. You’re notoriously known for jumping around and frolicking with criminals. I remember you grinning like a fóól from ear to ear at Hushpuppi’s house when they served you food.

I don’t want to hear you speak about any pastor again in your life. Your hypocrisy disgusts me”.

Buchi’s criticism was not limited to Freeze’s connection with Pastor Tobi. He also suggested that Freeze had, in his view, been involved in promoting or normalising some of the behaviour associated with controversial personalities.

His comments place the focus on the long-running debate around public figures, their friendships and whether those relationships should affect their credibility when they criticise others.

Daddy Freeze has previously been known for his outspoken views on Christianity, church leadership and pastors, making his association with Pastor Tobi a particularly sensitive subject for critics who question whether the same standards should apply to people within his own circle.

Buchi’s comments, however, represent his own allegations and characterisation of the relationship. The remarks about criminality and responsibility should not be treated as established facts merely because they were made in the video.

At the centre of the dispute is a simple question of consistency: whether a person who frequently questions the conduct of religious leaders should also face scrutiny over the company they keep and the individuals they publicly support.

For now, Buchi’s direct att@ck has put his disagreement with Daddy Freeze into sharp focus, particularly over the latter’s continued association with Pastor Tobi Adegboyega.
