Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has responded to reports suggesting that her marriage to actor Kolawole Ajeyemi is facing difficulties, dismissing the claims with a strong declaration about the future of their union.
The reports were circulated by blogger Bukky Jesse, who claimed that the couple were not on good terms and that Abraham had moved out of her husband’s home into a newly built property.
However, reacting to the report in the comment section of a blog, Abraham gave a spiritual response, insisting that she and her husband were not experiencing a marital crisis.
The actress declared that divorce was not part of their destiny and prayed over their marriage.
“We are not in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is not our destiny; it is not our creator,” she wrote.
The latest report is not the first time Abraham and Ajeyemi’s marriage has been subjected to speculation about separation or problems within their home.
Previous Divorce Speculations
In 2023, Abraham’s colleague, Wumi Toriola, was forced to respond to reports alleging that she had an affair with Ajeyemi.
Toriola dismissed the allegation and questioned why some people appeared determined to damage the reputation of others and create unnecessary conflict.
The couple had also faced similar speculation in 2022 when reports claimed that they were experiencing problems in their marriage.
At the time, the reports attributed the alleged disagreement to issues surrounding Abraham’s attitude towards certain family matters. It was also claimed that Ajeyemi had complained about her attitude, her refusal to accompany him to church and occasions when she allegedly stayed away from home for days.
Abraham and Ajeyemi, however, rejected the reports and continued to publicly demonstrate their commitment to their relationship.
Ajeyemi Continues To Celebrate His Wife
Recent public gestures between the couple have also continued to attract attention.
In September, Ajeyemi shared a message celebrating Abraham, describing her as his best friend in the world while wishing her happiness, good health and love.
He also gifted the actress a new G-Wagon as part of her birthday celebration.
Earlier in the year, the couple shared photos from a family wedding they attended together. Ajeyemi described Abraham as a part of him, while the actress captioned her pictures with “Mr and Mrs Ajeyemi”.
Ajeyemi has also publicly supported his wife during different moments in her career.
During Abraham’s renewed feud with Funke Akindele, he appreciated his wife for always listening to him. He noted that although she had things she wanted to say, she chose to remain silent because of his advice.
On International Women’s Day, Ajeyemi also celebrated Abraham as his beautiful and strong wife.
‘I Will Never Leave My Husband’
Abraham has previously spoken publicly about her commitment to her marriage.
In an interview with Media Room Hub, the actress said she could not imagine herself and her husband no longer living together, adding that she would never leave him.
She also said her belief that the marriage was ordained by God gave her comfort and removed the fear surrounding the future of the relationship.
The actress has similarly responded to questions about her marital status from social media users. When a TikTok user questioned her about her marriage, Abraham invited the person to visit her home if they wanted to satisfy their curiosity.
Public Displays Of Support
Ajeyemi has also celebrated Abraham’s professional achievements.
When the actress’s film grossed N1 billion at the box office, he thanked God and members of the public for supporting his wife.
Last year, he congratulated her after she received the Golden Legends Honour Medal at the All-Star Charity event.
On Father’s Day in 2025, Abraham reciprocated the public affection by reaffirming her love for Ajeyemi, describing him as her father and “small god”.
The actress has also previously warned women against pursuing her husband, telling anyone interested in becoming his “junior wife” that she would not accept such an arrangement.
With Abraham now publicly rejecting the latest marital crisis report, the actress has once again sought to put speculation about problems in her marriage to Ajeyemi to rest.
